I gave you guys a list of the TJ essentials here, and now I’m back to give you the delicious details of their seasonal products.
Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin. I promise not every product on here is pumpkin flavored but we’re getting closer to Thanksgiving and I’m starting to crave pie. I certainly won’t be able to wait until the 24th to experience the magic that is pumpkin spice. I like to get my pumpkin pie fix from this Pumpkin Ice Cream. It’s made with 30% real pumpkin puree and 70% premium, creamy ice cream, and filled with a cozy mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
Pro tip: Graham cracker. Sprinkle crushed graham cracker into your ice cream. Instant pie! Make and ice cream sandwich with graham cracker on the outside, and ice cream in the center.
Now all that ice cream could give you a stomach ache. Although the stomach ache is totally worth it, you should probably give your body some nourishment. Trader Joes sells pre-cut fresh butternut squash ready to go! Because the worst part of eating vegetables is cutting them up, and the fact that you’re not eating ice cream…
Only joking. Sprinkle olive oil and sea salt and bake in the oven until crisp, or put this in your fall soup.
Apple cider is a crisp refreshing drink that I will enjoy any day of the year. But something about adding cinnamon, allspice, and cloves changes everything and makes this drink taste like liquid gold. Made specially for dedicated Trader Joes shoppers who return year after year, this stuff tastes amazing fresh from the fridge or warmed up.
I’ll go ahead and tell you the best way to drink it. Heat it up, top it with whipped cream, drizzle some caramel over that, sprinkle some cinnamon on top and stick a fresh cinnamon stick in there. Very instagram worthy.
Whole Wheat Butternut Squash Gyoza is an easy, but fancy appetizer or simple meal. It packs a mild and pleasant squash flavor that will make you want to run outside and jump in the piles of leaves you just raked.
Don’t be a lazy slug, and cook this stuff in the oven. Drizzle with olive oil, and you’re guaranteed a crispy tray of whole wheat butternut squash gyoza. (Say that 10 times fast) No microwaves you guys!
I’m lazy, you’re lazy, and even Santa Claus is lazy. He only leaves the house once a year! Make life easy with Trader Joes Pumpkin Pancake and Waffle Mix. Throw some chocolate chips in the batter if you really mean business. Maple syrup is a must. Bonus points if you make shaped pancakes with this mix.
By the way, they have a gluten free version too! As they say...have your pan(cake) and eat it too!
Okay, okay, cranberries are technically a product of the Christmas season, but I hear some Trader Joes get this stuff in stock pretty early in the season. Some folks are already joyously blasting Christmas carols, so I’m going to enjoy some Cranberry Apple Butter. And I’m going to enjoy it on my turkey sandwiches, on my toast and probably plain by the spoonful.
And last but not least, I’m sharing my favorite coffee creamer! This Pumpkin Spice Almond Beverage takes the rich, fresh flavor of almond milk and combines it with fresh pumpkin and mixed spices. Not a coffee drinker? Add it to hot chocolate, tea, smoothies, and milkshakes. Drink it plain!
Pour it in your cereal! Don’t judge me, it tastes amazing with Cheerios.
